People wary about shopping benefit cheats

Treasury's request for people to 'shop' benefit cheats has received a mixed reaction from the public.

The Social Security division says it relies on information from people who can alert them to the fact residents could be cheating the benefits system.

MLC Bill Henderson is the member responsible for ensuring that taxpayers aren't being duped - he says it's the best way to gather evidence.
