Missing person found after Douglas Bay search

Emergency services have found a missing person after searching Douglas Bay.

An individual was reported missing to Douglas Coastguard at 10:46pm last night.

It prompted a shoreline search from Douglas to Marine Drive as far as Onchan Head and around Douglas outer harbour.

A helicopter was also called out from Caernarfon Airport to assist police, the Fire Service, Civil Defence and SARDA dogs.

The search resulted in a living person being discovered at around 2am.
