Election candidates must focus on national politics, says Chief

Prospective election candidates need to concentrate on what is best for the Island as whole and not just individual constituencies.

That's the view of the Chief Minister who says care must be taken not to undo the good work of the current administration at next September's General Election.

Allan Bell is also concerned about voter apathy - at last week's Douglas East by-election only 30 per cent of voters turned out to cast their vote:
