Douglas burglaries were preventable say police

Police say two burglaries in Douglas this week could have been prevented if people had locked their doors.

Properties on Falcon Cliff Terrace were targeted on Tuesday night and the early hours of Wednesday morning.

A man was arrested yesterday - he's been charged and is due to appear at Douglas Courthouse today.

Officers say people can't afford to be complacent and have urged them to lock windows and doors at all times.
