The Island will be protected if the UK exits the European Union.
That's the message from the Chief Minister who was questioned on the matter in the House of Keys yesterday.
Douglas East MHK Chris Robertshaw wanted to know if government is preparing for prospective effects on the economy and legislative circumstances.
Allan Bell said initial assessments are expected to be ready in the spring - a report will then be made public.
However he assured MHKs that if the UK decides to leave there'll be no impact on the Island's relationship with the UK.
