Extended warranties on electrical goods aren't necessarily 'value for money'.
The Office for Fair Trading has issued a warning to consumers - asking them to research the extra cost before splurging on pre-Christmas purchases.
Most people don't need one and products are often likely to be more expensive than repair costs as a result.
