"Mindless" thieves steal water tank

Thieves have stolen a copper water tank after raiding a farmhouse on the Jurby Coast Road.

The burglary was discovered on Tuesday at Ballateare - police have described it as "mindless and upsetting".

The property was broken into, via the main door, and the tank taken from an upstairs room - the water was left running which caused severe damage to the floors and ceilings.

Furniture was also stolen including a light coloured carpet and a sofa.
