Motorsport events generate 28 million pounds

The TT Races and the Festival of Motorcycling have generated £28 million for the economy this year.

A survey by Research Offshore shows growth in visitor numbers and financial contribution from both events.

Together they attracted 57,000 people - a rise of 42 per cent over the course of six years, benefitting the exchequer by 11 per cent year-on-year.
