Manx company looking to utilise 3D printing

3-D printing could soon become another manufacturing arm for the Island's space industry.

Manx Precision Optics has announced its partnership with the International Space University to research potential in creating more detailed spare parts.

The purpose is to discover a way of engineering essential pieces on the spot to cut time and travel costs.

Managing director Dr Helmut Kessler says the connection helps to promote industry here with the world's future experts:
