Tynwald to be asked to ban supply of sky lanterns

Proposals to ban sky lanterns will be put forward at next week's Tynwald sitting.
The decorative paper lanterns are lit and released into the air, traditionally as part of wedding ceremonies or as a gesture of remembrance.
Local farmers have campaigned for their ban arguing that cattle and sheep can die from ingesting their wire frames should they drop into fields.
Mike Ball is the chief officer at the Office of Fair Trading - he says the proposed ban is as much about the fire risks they pose:
