Public support for new Garff authority

A successful public meeting has paved the way for the amalgamation of three local authorities into one new body.

Maughold, Laxey and Lonan would join forces to become 'Garff' should Tynwald pass the order in the December sitting.

This week's meeting formed part of the public consultation - if all goes to plan the new look single authority would come into operation in April.
