Lifeboat rescue for two Loaghtan sheep
Thu, 08 Oct 2015
Two Loaghtan sheep have been rescued from the Calf of Man after falling 80ft off a cliff and into the sea.
Port Erin Lifeboat was launched just after 1pm on Tuesday after a fisherman raised the alarm.
He'd spotted the animals stuck on a ledge near "The Stack" but couldn't get close enough to rescue them himself.
Lifeboat crew located the sheep, which were described as cold and nervous, before taking them back to the shore and releasing them.
