OFT monitoring gas charge increase

The Office of Fair Trading says it will keep a close eye on Manx Gas to ensure the impending bill restructuring is fair.

From January 1st customers will see the standing charge increase whilst the cost per unit of gas will decrease.

Manx Gas says this will flatten out bills throughout the year, avoiding major spikes in the colder months.
