After 19 years of continued service the decision has been taken to close the drug charity DASH.
A lack of funding has been cited as the reason for the closure of the advice, service and helpline.
DASH delivered a counselling service for people struggling to beat drug dependency with a recorded 90 per cent success rate.
Taking to the Facebook page director Shelly Stanley says both she and her colleagues are heartbroken.
It's not yet known if existing service users will be transferred to an alternative facility for continued help.
