New legislation in place for 2016 HoK elections

New legislation relating to House of Keys elections is being implemented today.

The rules apply to prospective candidates for next year’s general election - but won't affect upcoming by-elections.

Changes have been made to campaign spending and donations.

New requirements have also been put in place for registering political parties before supporting a prospective candidate.

The documentation has been published on the government website.
