Work to upgrade the Island's emergency communications system has been completed.
The new TETRA operation will provide greater resilience and enhanced coverage - particularly for the emergency services.
The old system, which had been in place for 11 years, handled more than 16 million calls.
There are now 3,300 terminals in operation on the Island - they will also be used during the motorcycling festivals and in severe weather.
