Planning submitted for Starbucks in Douglas

Planning permission has now been submitted to transform an empty retail unit in Douglas into a Starbucks.

We reported last month that the coffee giant was headed for the Isle of Man - with officials interested in the old Harmony Homes building on Victoria Street.

Now a change of use application has been lodged to transform the premises into a coffee shop - including blocking up the existing entrance and installing a new one.

The application is currently pending consideration.
