Ayre Clay Target Club Round-Up

Ayre Clay Target Club hosted the annual English Sporting Manx Championship in bright, sometimes breezy conditions at Blue Point on Sunday, kindly sponsored by J W KNEEN and Son.

 

Marty Kneen led at the halfway stage of the 100 target competition, scoring 42/50.  Paul Magee was in second on 39 with Alan Kinrade in third on 36.

 

Kneen extended his lead in the second half, to finish on 88 and take the gold medal.  Alan Kinrade took the silver on 75 with Paul Mihailovits in bronze on 73.  Two non – CPSA members, Wayne Corlett and Steve Brew scored 76 and 73 to finish second and third respectively, but were not eligible for the medals.  Junior shooters Jake Brew and Alex Egan both shot well on a sometimes tricky layout.

 

Results:

A Class: Martin Kneen 88; 2, Wayne Corlett 76; 3, Alan Kinrade 75.

B Class: 1, Steve Brew 73; 2, George Davies 71; 3, Juan Cowley 68.

C Class: 1, Mark Riley 67; 2, Phil Butler 63; 3, Chris Parker 63.

 

The Double Trap Selection shoot which was held on Saturday was won by Jake Keeling.  Kevin Oates was second and junior shooter Jack Kneen was third.Text Goes Here
