Plans firming up for Douglas East by-election

The process will soon begin to find a new MHK for Douglas East.

That's the message from Speaker of House of Keys Steve Rodan - who says arranging a by-election for the constituency will start next month.

Douglas East MHK Brenda Cannell has tendered her resignation - citing personal reasons.

She has given one month's statutory notice of her intention to leave her post on 7th October.
