UK motorcyclist killed following Kepple Gate collision

A motorcyclist has been killed following a fatal accident on the Mountain Road yesterday evening.

The collision involved a UK registered motorbike and a white Fiat Doblo van driven by a local resident - who was left shaken but uninjured.

It happened near to the Kepple Gate with the stretch of road from Brandywell to Creg Ny Baa closed until around 10.30pm to allow for investigations to be carried out.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident - anyone with information is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
