A fresh telephone scam is doing the rounds - with the culprits purporting to be from the Isle of Man Constabulary Fraud Squad.
Fraudsters are cold calling residents; asking them to key in certain numbers on their telephone keypad to be connected to the fraud squad.
People are likely to be asked questions relating to their personal bank account details.
Police say automated call centres are never utilised and officers making contact with the public would do so directly.
Anyone who feels they've already been targeted is told to contact their bank immediately and report it to the police or the actionfraud.police.uk website.
