Tomorrow will see over 900 Island students receive their GCSE results.
For many they will determine if they have done enough to continue with higher education, either into sixth form or at the Isle of Man College.
Changes to the content and structure of the exams have led to a fairly mixed set of results in recent years.
However Paul Craine from the Department of Education and Children thinks this could be the year where things return to normality:
