The Island's financial crime unit will undergo a shake-up in a bid to strengthen our defences against money laundering and terrorism.
New legislation could be brought in ahead of a major external investigation which will take place next year - that will look at how we comply with international standards.
The Financial Intelligence Unit Bill would see a separate unit created which has enhanced information gathering powers - this would function separately from police investigations.
