Manx Sport and Recreation encourages disabled people into sport

Efforts to break down the barriers which stop disabled people taking part in sport are continuing.

Manx Sport and Recreation is holding taster sessions for "powerchair football" on August 27th and September 3rd for both adults and children.

The sport sees teams of four use powered wheelchairs, fitted with bumpers, move the ball around an indoor court.

Microgaming has recently donated £1,500, which has helped purchase a new powerchair - senior sports development officer Aaron Quinn says help like this is vital:
