Woman denies trying to steal from M&S

A Douglas woman who's accused of trying to steal from Marks and Spencer will stand trial.

45-year-old Denise Watterson appeared at Douglas Courthouse earlier this week where she pleaded not guilty to one charge of attempted theft.

It's alleged she tried to take £279 worth of food and clothes from the shop without paying on July 16th.

The case has now been adjourned until October 1st.
