Drivers urged to protect vehicles from thieves

Motorists are being told to lock up their vehicles or risk becoming a victim of crime.

Police have taken to Facebook warning people to make sure their vehicles are secure especially during the hours of darkness.

Officers say opportunistic thieves are always on the lookout and some will be brazen enough to go rummaging through insecure vehicles parked on driveways.

They say the click of a button or the turn of the key could save you a lot of anguish.
