A Douglas woman who became a "pest" at a neighbour's wedding party has been handed a two-year probation order.
41-year-old Patricia Hall appeared at Douglas Courthouse last week - she'd previously pleaded guilty to a charge of provoking behaviour from June 16th.
The court heard she'd attended the party where she consumed a bottle of wine and then took cocaine which was offered to her - something her advocate admitted was "foolish".
She proceeded to cause annoyance to other guests, including the best man, and was asked to leave but started swearing - police were called and she was arrested outside.
Hall, who has no recollection of the night, was said to be "deeply ashamed" of her behaviour with her advocate telling the court she has a "drink problem" and had relapsed.
Sentencing her Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes also placed her under a 12 month licensing ban and ordered her to pay costs, telling her "I'm giving you a final opportunity to address your issues".
