Runaway car - driver rescued in Douglas

Fire crews helped free a driver today after their car rolled off a car park and hit a tree

The emergency services were called to the incident on Victoria Road in Douglas at 12pm

The car had gone down a grass verge and come to rest - fire crews secured the vehicle and then cut away the undergrowth.

The driver was then able to walk back up the grass verge to an ambulance where they were treated for a minor bump to the head.
