Manual workers will lose a significant level of protection if Tynwald votes in favour of a Public Service Commission.
Under new plans the commission would replace the Whitley Council as government's main employment body.
Unite the Union has flagged up concerns - querying what mechanisms would remain in place to cover worker issues and disputes.
