A child had to be rescued out of the sea in Douglas today after a bouncy castle blew into the water.
Inflatables had been set up on the promenade as part of the Douglas Carnival celebrations.
The child was rescued by a member of the public who reportedly jumped into the sea to save him – the boy was then taken to Noble’s Hospital.
Douglas Borough Council has now closed all similar play equipment and says the incident will be fully investigated.
The carnival will go ahead this evening as planned.
