Overhauling Sunday trading hours in the UK will not have any bearing on our local high streets.
It was announced in the UK budget last week that shops would be able to stay open for longer.
Chancellor George Osborne promised the biggest shake-up of Sunday trading laws since the 1990s.
As it stands retailers on the Island are not bound by any laws restricting their opening times.
