A local advocate has been officially sworn-in as the Island's new Solicitor General.
Walter Wannenburgh took the Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Solicitor General at Government House.
It follows a recommendation in the Wooler Report suggesting that a second crown officer be appointed.
He will support activities performed by the Attorney General and advise on domestic and external interests - he'll also assist in the prosecution of offences and drafting government legislation.
