Buying new railway track to use on Douglas Promenade is a good use of taxpayers' money - despite plans currently being up in the air.
That's according to the Department of Infrastructure which has agreed to purchase more than £200,000 of it - although, it has not yet paid for it.
This follows a spend of more than £56,000 for 700 metres of rail for the Manx Electric Railway which was installed at four sites over the winter period.
