More needed to be done to improve voting figures

More needs to be done to improve the numbers of people registering to vote.

That's despite the electoral roll figures increasing to a total of 48, 580 this month - up by over 1,000 from May.

The Island's electorate is estimated to stand at around 71,752 residents - but not everyone is eligible to vote.
