Same day electoral registration not being introduced

There are no plans to introduce same-day electoral registration - despite the fact the Island's "out-dated" election legislation needs updating.

That's according to Chief Minister Allan Bell who says although a "root and branch" review is needed it's not something being looked at.

The electoral register was updated before the last by-election - however there was criticism that hundreds of voters then went "missing".
