Police are aiming to increase their use of social media so they can better "digitally police" the Isle of Man.
It follows a successful TT fortnight where officers used Facebook and Twitter to keep the public up to date with the latest crimes, road closures, announcements and appeals for witnesses.
Inspector Derek Flint says taking this forward is part of the constabulary's digital strategy.
He says the right balance has to be found - however he admits going online isn't without its problems:
