The emergency services were called to the aid of a worker on a mobile high reach platform this morning after a technical issue had left them stranded.
A hydraulic hose failure had left them stuck roughly 13 metres in the air; it occurred in a rear lane near lower Athol Street in Douglas earlier this morning.
The fire crew erected one of their largest ladders to reach the platform, which allowed the operator to be safely recovered to the ground.
The were no injuries, and the recovery operation took roughly 30 minutes.
