Tidal and silting issues at Heysham Port should be resolved in time for the TT period.
That's the message from the Steam Packet Company which has seen a number of sailings changed this week due to on-going work by Peel Ports.
The port, and its approaches, has always suffered from high build ups of silt that need regular dredging - very low tides recently have left the water depth insufficient for berthing at certain times.
It's thought the number of storms experienced during winter have added to the problem with more sandy deposits generated.
