A pensioner from Port Erin has been convicted for possessing almost 200 indecent images of children.
69-year-old Robert Wilson appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday where he pleaded guilty to 11 charges.
Police arrested Wilson at his home on February 4th this year - finding him in possession of 185 moving and still images.
They searched his property and seized two laptops for forensic analysis.
Both prosecution and defence counsels said it appeared he had acted "out of curiosity" and hadn't shared the images with anyone else.
Wilson will be sentenced by the Deputy High Bailiff on May 26th - he has been bailed in the meantime.
