A Douglas man who allegedly made over 6,900 indecent photographs of children has been committed to stand trial.
38-year-old Andrew Byrne, who is currently remanded at the Isle of Man Prison, appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday.
He has previously entered "no plea" entries to four charges of indecent assault on a child, between 1991 and 1995, and one of breaking a sexual offences prevention order.
No plea entries were also entered for 18 counts of possessing, making or publishing indecent photographs of children between 2007 and 2014.
Yesterday 12 additional charges, of making still and moving indecent photographs of children, were put to him which dated from 2001 to 2015 - again he entered no plea entries.
Byrne will remain remanded until his next appearance before the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
