Douglas Tesco Express proposals put to the public today

Plans to open a new Tesco Express store in Douglas will be put to the public in an exhibition today.

The store would take the place of the former Manx Electricity Authority shop in the Strand Centre.

If it goes ahead, Tesco would create around 20 new jobs in the local community.

Interested parties are encouraged to attend the event - which will be held in the prospective premises from 2pm until 7pm.
