£35,000 has been donated by government to an Island nation in crisis in the South Pacific Ocean.
A category five cyclone 'Pam' hit Vanuatu last month - with wind speeds of 165 miles per hour 96 per cent of food crops were destroyed.
More than 75,000 people have been left in need of shelter, food and water.
The International Development Committee has provided the money to Oxfam GB and Unicef to carry out aid work.
It has also donated £20,000 to provide shelter and comfort to vulnerable older people, and those with special needs, fleeing South Sudan to Uganda.
