Steve Callus wins the J B Richie Trophy
The 2015 winner of the J B Richie Trophy, a scratch competition for Class D shooters consisting of 2 cards each month over 4 months, is Isle of Man Shooting Club Sandsiders member Steve Callus with Lorrie Thompson just 5 points in arrears. Full results are as follows:-

Jones wins ‘namesake’ Trophy
Moving onto another scratch competition, the G. Jones Memorial Trophy, which is for Class C shooters, with the same format as the J B Richie (above). Although eleven entries were received, just seven shooters completed the required four months sets of two cards. Eventual winner Barry Jones, had excellent results throughout the competition but congratulations must go to teenager Illiam Christian who was on equal terms with Jones up to the final 2 cards – well done to both. Postal Results
Bill Jones has forwarded the results of the tenth and final round of the Ulster Counties Individual 50 metre outdoor and both 15 yard individual and team postal leagues and several locals have ended up in the top three of a couple of the Leagues.

Short Range 15 yard Junior Leagues
Kirk Michael being the only locals to have teams in the team event, have had a terrific postal season and have resulted in a winning and a second position against some formable Northern Irish teams. Division B – Kirk Michael ‘A’ gained second slot from Comber ‘B’ and in Division D – producing 2804, Kirk Michael ‘B’ beat the Ulster Rifle Association ‘C’ team on 2793 to win the Division on aggregate.
Dates for your Diaries
Monday April 27th sees the start of the IoM Shooting Club Monday matches, round 1 of The Empire Garage Tynwald Shield, The Osborn Carpets Scratch 600 and The Sadler Jnr League. Matches will get underway with sighting and preparation time starting at 7pm.
The next Isle of Man Shooting Club Monthly Handicap will be held on Sunday, May 3rd and will include The Indoor Club Team Championship (40 shots scratch) preparation & sighting to commence at 10.15 am start.
