The IoM Rifle Associations Individual Champion
Laxey Rifle Club’s Harry Creevy is once again the IOMRA Individual Champion by the smallest of margins of .07 from Julian Teare of Sulby Rifle Club. I shudder to think how many times Harry has held the league crown but it must now be way up in the teens. Sadly, I understand that he will be unable to attend the Prize Presentation on April 18th as he will be on International duty. I will list the top 25 individuals followed by their average after the 3 match allowance has been deducted.

Re-vamped 50 metre Junior Championship proves to be a major success
After several years of very low entries, the 2015 Isle of Man Shooting Club Junior Championship was re-vamped in an attempt to increase interest from the local juniors. This year the match took the format of 3 cards indoor followed by 30 shots outdoor at 50 metres using the electronic targets with valuable prizes to be won by the first three competitors. Eleven youngsters arrived at Sinclair on Sunday morning and the competition got underway at exactly 11 am. The results from the indoor section showed that IoMSC shooter, Christian Eaton led the way by 1 point from Port St Mary’s Ashley Gardner in second and Kirk Michael’s Alex Trafford a point in arrears in third. There was a break for lunch before the outdoor section commenced. Several of the youngsters had no experience of the electronic targets installed at Sinclair but that did not appear to affect anyone. The posted results at completion of the match showed some terrific results and everyone seemed to enjoy the experience. Full results were –

Dates for your Diaries
The Isle of Man Rifle Association are holding their Annual Dinner and Prize Presentation on Saturday April 18th at 7.30 pm. Clubs have been advised regarding the menu and if last year’s dinner is anything to go by, it will be an excellent evening. It would be helpful if clubs could inform Lorrie Thompson as soon as possible with ticket numbers.
