TT rider Guy Martin has raised eyebrows after claiming he drove around the TT Course in 22 minutes - reaching 180 miles per hour on open roads.
The interview, with Sunday Times Driving, highlighted his trip to the Island where he was test-driving an Aston Martin Vanquish Carbon Edition - a car that costs over £200,000.
Describing his lap of the famous course Guy said he got up at 5.30am on a Sunday morning when he knew "the roads would be quiet" - the temperature was just above zero.
Telling the publication he knew he wouldn't be able to do 150mph down Bray Hill because of traffic lights he described getting to the derestricted zone in Union Mills and thinking "right, let's have it."
He then describes how he then went through Ballacrye with the accelerator "flat to the floor" and how he was "driving hard" on the Sulby Straight reaching speeds of 180mph.
The Isle of Man Constabulary has so far declined to comment on the article.
