Over 50 Island property developers and building contractors have been voicing their opposition to the controversial move to double land and property tax.
Yesterday the Treasury and Economic Development ministers held an open forum to discuss raising it from 10 to 20 per cent.
Among the calls for a U-turn there were claims it will seriously damage the Island's unique selling point and drive away business.
We asked Cowley Groves chairman David Creane if he thinks the developer's opinions will have any impact:
