Treasury's plan to remove free TV licences for the over 75s is still going ahead.
That's despite North Douglas MHK John Houghton urging the Minister to reverse his decision in line with what is happening in the UK.
However Eddie Teare was quick to point out that far from a u-turn in Westminster the Prime Minister there has only vowed to continue the existing concession should he be re-elected in May.
He says under the plans rolled out here in February's Budget they will no longer be available to those in a comfortable financial position:
