The woman who oversaw the major transfer of prisoners from Victoria Road to the prison in Jurby is set to retire.
Alison Gomme worked in the UK prison service for 28 years before taking on the role of governor of the Isle of Man Prison in 2008.
Reflecting on her time in the role she says the most satisfying aspect of the job is watching people turn their lives around and become productive members of the community.
