Dogs on the Isle of Man could be microchipped in future if new plans get the go-ahead.
It's an idea being looked at by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture - which is hoping to make the practice compulsory.
The department says it'll help establish ownership issues, control cases of disease and will act as a deterrent against theft.
A public consultation has been launched - the deadline for responses is May 1st.
