As Jersey and Guernsey announce hefty cuts to their gas tariffs we've asked if the same is likely to happen on the Island.
Guernsey Gas has cited the unprecedented falls in wholesale energy prices for a 3.5 per cent reduction.
The fact gas costs haven't changed locally despite the falling world prices prompted the Chief Minister to call for an enquiry earlier this year.
Chief inspector of Trading Standards John Peet says just because the rest of the Channel Islands are enjoying reductions it doesn't mean the Island will follow suit.
